In commemoration of Human Rights Day and the Sharpeville Massacre which saw close to 70 people losing their lives at the hands of the state, Durban Local History Museums is inviting members of the public to participate in a Human Rights Day seminar taking place next Thursday, the 14th March.

The event is being hosted in partnership with UKZN, the South African Human Rights Commission, the SAPS and the Independent Electoral Commission, all integral players in ensuring that the rights of all South Africans are respected and upheld, and that the events of the 21st March 1960 are never repeated.
